Just half a century ago, paying for water to drink was a laughable joke. But now, with a single virus, many people's lifestyles have changed, and it won't be long before they can buy fresh air. In the meantime, while going through corona, we have endured this long period, if it is long. Now is the time to comfort yourself for having endured well and choose how to fill yourself up in the future.
Youngjoo Lim's work makes us think about what kind of environment we are currently living in and what direction our lives will go. Sometimes it is hard work, but when you endure it well and overcome it, you can see the fruit of the work.
In the representative work of this exhibition, 'Today as a Gift', happiness is buried in even a single rustling blade of grass. On a sunny May day, I hope that everyone who visits the exhibition hall will be filled with positive energy from the works that make you smile just by looking at them.
